Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs fought hard to make an impression on Class of 2027 EDGE JaBarrius Garror. Formerly committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide, the passer turned back on March 14.
Georgia is firmly in the mix since reopening its recruiting. The Mobile, Alabama native made two visits to Athens. The latest dates back to May 15 for an official visit, the first he had made throughout the recruitment process.
The Bulldogs made a strong case and were named one of four finalists for Garror to choose from. The others were the Texas Longhorns, Auburn Tigers and Florida State Seminoles.

Unfortunately for Smart and his team, they did not emerge victorious from this battle. On Friday, Garror announced his commitment, choosing the Longhorns according to Rivals national recruiting reporter Hayes Fawcett.
This is a major loss for the Bulldogs. At 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds, Garror is a four-star recruit, the No. 12 EDGE, the No. 3 player in Alabama and the No. 107 player in the country, according to Rivals’ industry rankings.
The setter is coming off a productive junior season at Vigor High School. In 15 games, he accumulated 106 tackles, 32.5 tackles for loss, 21 sacks, 18 hurries, two pass deflections and a fumble recovery.
However, with Garror locked in with Texas, Georgia must turn its attention to other options. The Bulldogs extended offers to EDGE five-star Abraham Sesay, EDGE four-star Chris Whitehead and EDGE four-star James Pace.
Smart and his team are also still well positioned in the 2027 cycle. They have already landed 14 commitments, ranking sixth in the SEC and 15th in the country, according to Rivals.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
